Empowering
Young Innovators & Creators

The Talent Incubator project trains youth in digital skills and matches them for practical Industry experience,  internship and jobs.

We take pride in catching students at a young age, beginning with those who are as young as 16 years old and currently in senior high school. By starting early, we provide students with the foundational skills, mentorship, and career guidance needed to set them on a path to success from the very beginning of their educational journey. This emphasis on early engagement allows us to instill essential skills and foster a growth mindset at a critical stage in a student’s development, ultimately positioning them for long-term success in their academic and professional pursuits.

We also target new immigrants in Canada, supporting them with training, mentoring, internship and job placement services to support their settlement in their new country.

TALENT INCUBATOR FOUNDING ACTIVATOR

Tope OLOTU

As a first-generation Canadian immigrant and a graduate of the Bachelor of Technology (BTech) in Technology Management from the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT) Edmonton Canada, Tope’s story is a beacon of hope that lights the path of the organization.

Despite years of professional experience she had before immigrating to Canada, her career trajectory initially led her to an administrative role, validating the huge challenges faced by foreign-trained professionals in getting jobs in Canada, but her deep-seated passion for technology quickly set her on a different course. Within the organizations she worked for, she became a technological luminary, mastering website content development, email management systems, training platforms, data analysis, and enterprise resource planning software. Her expertise not only earned her a project management position with a substantial salary increase but also unveiled the transformative potential of technology education.

This revelation fueled Tope’s desire to share the gift of technology education with her community. She started teaching K-12 students what she knew, sowing the seeds of technology education. What began as her vision has blossomed into a thriving organization dedicated to providing training and mentorship to 100+ youth in 4 years, a vision now shared by other staff, volunteers, and Board members. The organization currently teaches Coding, Robotics, Web development, Cloud Technology, Machine Learning, Social Media Content Development/Management and Video Editing. We also teach Project Management, Business Analysis, Change Management, Vendor Management, Digital Storytelling, and other related career development courses to support our students in securing jobs in the Technology and Creativity space. This further led to the creation of this Talent Incubator Project, which connects students with the industry, providing opportunities for training, mentoring, internships and job placement. Tope and the team are excited for the impact these young Canadians and new immigrants are going to make in contributing to the workforce and to future innovation in our beautiful Country and around the world.
